Online group quantum lectures and individual research project

  • Interesting content. The lectures are designed to highlight some of the most interesting concepts and problems in quantum physics. Examples of possible subjects are the pricniples of quantum mecanics, quantum entanglement, quantum teleportation, quantum computing, quantum cryptography, quantum nonlocality and Bell's theorem, the quantum measurement problem, connections between spacetime and quantum physics.
  • Group course and individual mentoring sessions. The program is divided in two parts.
    • Part I: Group course. The first part comprises 8 weekly lectures of group course by the mentor with 8 supporting supervisions to clarify and expand the material of the lectures as well as to go through any assignments given during lectures. In this part, the mentor (helped by a supervisor) will teach the subject of the course and direct the start of an individual research project for each student in the class.
    • Part II: Individual research project mentoring. The second part is optional and last 3-6 weeks. This comprises 3 individual sessions where each student will receive personalized mentoring to advance and complete a research project and research paper.
  • If you include Part II in your program, you will receive guiance on:
    • writing a research paper with feedback on drafts;
    • submitting a research paper to a conference and/or journal according to your level, for example, high school, undergraduate or graduate journal.
    • Work on a research project within your preferred area of quantum physics, for example, quantum mechanics, quantum computing, quantum information, quantum cryptography, quantum foundations, connections between spacetime/gravity and quantum physics.
  • The prices are reasonable and depend on whether the student enrols in both parts or only the first part (group course).

About us

Quantum Lectures is led by Dr. Damián Pitalúa-García, a University of Cambridge quantum PhD, with many years of experience in research and mentoring in the University of Cambridge, UK, specializing in various areas of quantum information, quantum cryptography, quantum foundations, and connections between gravity and quantum physics, with granted patents in Europe and the United States funded by the French government. He has ample experience in teaching and mentoring  international high school students, as well as undergrad and graduate students in the University of Cambridge and other highly recognized international universities.
